MaNo Trust ( Maattrathai Nokki Arakattalai) functioning with three pillars, Honesty- Cleanliness- Growth, done a study about air quality in and around Padur & Kelambakkam in Thiruporur Taluk. The study results reveals shocking facts, that includes the toxic in air measured in PM2.5 scale ( Particulate Matter ) is 81 ug/M3 and AIR QUALITY INDEX measures to 145. This air carries risk to cause breathing discomfort and diseases.
The cause are many like burning plastic waste, vehicle emissions, Industrial waste etc. But the simple solution is trees. The air toxic like niterous oxide, carbon monoxide, sulphur can cause serious health problems, but trees being rich source of oxygen will help us to save water, provide clean air and contain soil erosion.
As of the MaNo Trust initiative we are conducting propaganda about goodness of trees, and distributing 10,000 seed balls as ” Save Trees Save Earth” event .
